Highland Foodbank

Highland Foodbank is part of The Trussell Trustís UK-wide foodbank network. We are passionate about engaging and empowering the local community to support foodbank projects, providing emergency food to thousands of people nationwide every year. The continuation of the work of Highland Foodbank is totally dependent upon the generosity of the public whether donating non- perishable food items or financially. We could not reach so many local people in crisis without the on-going support and encouragement from churches, individuals and local community groups.

The Trussell Trust is a Christian charity that runs the biggest network of foodbanks in the UK. For more on The Trussell Trust visit www.trusselltrust.org

We are passionate about engaging and empowering the local community to support foodbank projects, providing emergency food to thousands of people nationwide every year.

The Highland Foodbank network launched in October 2005 currently consists of 7 foodbanks across the Highland region.

Over the past ten years, Highland Foodbank has been serving the Highland region, distributing food through our foodbank centre in Inverness or by supplying our partners with Emergency Food Boxes. Due to the growing need of people across the Highlands we have been working to develop new foodbank centres in Highland towns. These are based in Alness, Aviemore, Culloden, Dingwall, Kyle of Lochalsh, Nairn, Tain, Thurso and Wick.

Since 2005 over 55,000 people have been fed through our foodbanks.
